Travel Time

The image has a cinematic effect which you can see from the top and bottom of the image which gives me a feel that I'm watching some kind of event taking place.

My eyes are drawn to the stars which look like they are being drawn to the center like a single point which could be us seeing planets being pulled in, or us seeing the stars expanding out further and further into space as we see what is long left of the big bang theory.

Green was an interest colour choice as seeing it as a nebula I associated it with poison or sickness, however it works because you've got an opposite contrast of orange emitting from the stars dotted all around.


The concept of distance in space being lightyears does make me wonder about the connection to this picture and its title.


All in all I think this would make a nice desktop background for small monitors but unforunately wouldn't work for larger monitors because of the size of the image and the blurring effects would look bad if I expanded it out anymore than its original size.
